From verbs to nouns and adjectives
Last week we doubled our vocabulary by taking the verb such as as ‘nevar‘-to snow and finding the noun ‘la nieve‘- the snow.
Let’s do the same today with a set of stem-changing verbs (o-ue). There are some good vocabulary on this list!
Double your vocabulary in Spanish
A. a verb = an action
B. a noun = a person, place or thing
C. an adjective = describes a person, place or thing

almorzar – to have lunch
noun
el almuerzo – lunch. Some people say ‘el lonche‘
Voy a tomar el almuerzo a las 12:30

contar – to tell or to count
nouns
un cuento – a story.
Un cuento para niños.
OR
La cuenta – the bill/check.
La cuenta, por favor. (en un restaurante)
Una cuenta bancaria – a bank account

costoso/a – expenisve
Este restaurante es costoso.

ida y vuelta – round trip. from the verbs ‘ir’ y ‘volver’. To go and to return – in other words ’round trip’.
